We had a fun Valentines Day, despite the awful weather, & lack of people in central London, due to transport cancellations & widespread flooding. I received a call from neighbours the previous day, telling me that the army were at my house, protecting it from flooding with sandbags, & that they had removed my dog & taken him to a safe place. With lots of bouquets ordered, I had to stay at work, not even knowing whether I would make it home through the flooding. The army, Environment Agency & Fire Brigade did a wonderful job, & the water didn’t reach my house.
We had lots of lovely customers, entertaining card messages & happy staff, & the highlight of the day was being asked to make a bouquet of 99 red roses – how romantic!
I can see from the buds on the trees, the crocuses, daffodils & blossom that spring is just around the corner. The days are getting longer, the birds are singing more loudly…come to Stems< & we can make you a little taste of spring to take home - or have something delivered to brighten someone's day.
