We had a request for a large, summery bouquet today, & used white aconitum, larkspur, alliums, hydrangea & campanula. It was stunning.
I love the allium, “Summer Drummer”. My lovely Spanish colleague called from outside the shop, “Jan, how much are the aliens?” I said, “No, you mean alliums. Aliens are up there – possibly!” It made my day!
We decided to rename the bromeliads as aliens.
Someone has put in a request for ox eye daisies. they aren’t on offer from my supplier, but luckily there are some growing in the field opposite my house.
So we made red rose displays for a birthday dinner at Trinity House, flowers for The British Museum, The All Star Bowling Lanes and a few bouquets for walk in customers. It was a lovely day.
