There’s something about purple

IMG_20141021_093903I have always loved purple – Jimi Hendrix Purple Haze, Prince Purple Rain. It was a big colour when I was growing up.I remember wearing a purple midi skirt & long cardigan.
There’s something special about purple flowers. I like to use them in various shades, just with foliage. The flowers in the photo are cabbages, thistle, hydrangea & lisianthus. Statice, orchids, veronica & liatris also come in purple. It goes with all colours, creating a different look with each one. Put it with vintage pink, & they merge. it is a stark, clean contrast with orange & yellow. It is elegant with white, & regal with red.
