I am lucky enough to live around the corner from this lovely little road. I watch the bare, black branches come to life with blossom buds. It then opens into this glorious arch of white blossom, then “snows” in the spring breezes, forming little white rugs. It smells delicious. By July, I’ll be picking the cherry plums & making jam.
If you buy flowers for your home, it’s worth looking in the garden, or on a country walk, for twigs & foliage to forage. You can transform a few simple flowers into something very stylish with foraged bits. The pussy willow & catkins are beautiful at the moment. Enjoy!
