1.Tulips are now available in all colours. Place them in a small amount of water & change daily.
2.Anemones, in deep red, purple, violet & white. This is a true winter flower. They love ice cold water.
3. Ranunculus, in yellow, white, pink, red & the pretty, multi-coloured “cappuccino”. This is in the buttercup family
4. Daffodils. The beautiful simplicity of the daffodil always warms my heart! “And then my heart with pleasure fills, & dances with the daffodils!”
5. Hyacinths. They have a heady scent. Choose a container that supports them well, as they become very heavy when in full bloom. Like tulips, they continue to grow in length when cut, so chop a bit off the bottom each day to stop them tipping over..
6 “Paper White” narcissi. If you like scented flowers, then these are for you. They look beautiful on their own, in large clusters. Remember that if you are mixing daffodils or narcissi with other flowers, don’t cut them, as other flowers don’t like their sap.
