The end of the school holidays marks the end of summer for most of us. Back to business – London is busy again.
We have a full diary for September. Firstly, we’re looking forward to doing flowers for a wedding at The Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green on Friday. The colour scheme is cream,midnight blue & saffron. we:ll be using Green Bell, blue veronica, saffron roses, cream lisianthus & a selection of organic herbs from my garden. Soft grasses will look fab in the wood panelled room.
We’ve filled the shop window with moss, kindly donated by Charlotte’s father – he removed it from his roof, & managed to strip off large sheets of it in one go!
You can now buy physalis, [Chinese Lanterns], & let them dry out, ready for Halloween & Guy Fawkes parties. Huge poppy heads are also available. Go foraging & find a few conkers or sweet chestnuts, & make the place look beautifully autumnal.
