Autumn sunshine

Windsor and Maidenhead-20121111-01272LANTERNSThe weather has been gorgeous over the last few days – autumn sunshine. I get up at 4.30am every morning & walk my dog, Rolo before heading up to London. It’s been a misty start, & it’s just beginning to get light while I travel to the station. The river Thames looks calm & serene as we drive over Datchet bridge. There was a huge full moon this morning. I am inspired by all the foliage on my journey.
The sight of sunrise over Waterloo Bridge is awesome. a stone’s throw from Stems, I am lucky enough to cross it twice daily – St. Paul’s, The Shard, St. Bride’s, The Houses of Parliament, Somerset House, the Thames is wide & majestic.
The towers & turrets of Sicilian Avenue create shade, but we can see the sunshine on Southampton Row, & in Bloomsbury Square, at the other end of the Avenue.
Then we set to work, cutting & conditioning flowers, delivering Green Room flowers & bouquets for the stars at ITV, serving passing customers, arranging flowers in The British Museum…every day is different. The autumn flowers are bright oranges, rusts, golds, shades of green, deep reds. Come & visit us one day.
