Flowers evoke memories

I was making this bouquet earlier, and found childhood memories flooding into my mind of boiled eggs and soldiers!
The toasty colour of the magnificent orchid and the eggy ranunculae and craspedia remind me of those lovely Burford Browns I eat at weekends!
The falling eggs in the shop window were a display we made one Easter.
Easter is late this year, and I have the pleasure of making flower arrangements for my niece’s wedding in Harrogate. This will be the beginning of wedding season for us.
