Happy Easter to all our clients

Easter Bouquet

I love the colours of yellow, white and green for Easter – yellow yolks, pretty primroses, dancing daffodils, leaves unfurling on the trees.

Stems shop window

A few years back, we made this fun window display with eggs tumbling from a nest. This was in our beautiful shop in Sicilian Avenue, Holborn. We have since moved to Windsor, with an equally attractive shop.

If you’re buying flowers for the Easter weekend, the lovely daffodils are good value. Not the most long-lasting of flowers, they look best on their own. Tulips are the same – just a generous bunch in a vase looks great. Change the water every day, and snip a bit off the stems.

If you’re looking for a more long-lasting option, choose lilies, orchids or callas. I like to add birch or pussy willow to make them look spring-like.

Lily of the valley and paper whites

For something very special, choose lily of the valley. This posy also contains paper white narcissi and is highly scented.

The weather forecast is good for the weekend, so many of us will take to our gardens and begin pruning and planting – and no doubt, a few barbecues will be lit!

Happy Easter!
