Riverbank flowers

riverbank Eton College flowersriver view of the Windsor Castle from Eton CollegeI had a lovely walk with my dear friend, Maria by the riverbank at Eton College today. We reminisced, sat beside a little bay on the Thames, skimmed a few stones & picked some wild flowers. There’s a fairy-tale view of Windsor Castle from there.

The sun was shining, but the grass was still damp from the dewy morning. We saw blackberries, rosehips, snowberry, elderberries – & even forget-me-nots, as you can see in the photo.

We then walked along Eton High St. to The Waterman’s Arms, a lovely little pub at the entrance to the Brocas. Highly recommended! There are some lovely antique shops for a browse.
