wedding flowers for a beautiful bride

I never know what’s going to happen from one week to the next at Stems! Of course, we know what to expect in terms of contract work, & we plan our buying to an extent. But then some wonderful flowers will become available, & the plans crumble.
Our particular favourite this week has been the stunning digitalis – strong & elegant, but with a fairytale character. We’ve been using them with tall alliums & pink peonies, creating a romantic, summery feel.
We have a wedding coming up in a couple of week’s time. The bride is very creative, & has given us some costume jewels to put in the bouquet. We’ve been making mock ups for her – great fun to do.
The highlight of the week was a new account in Mayfair. They have a lovely terrace garden & quad garden. I can’t wait to get out there & turn it into something stunning, with passion flower, clematis and roses. Outdoor spaces like this are so precious.
Next week, we’ll be providing flowers for an event at The Science Museum. It’s great that all our great museums host dinners & events. Again the theme is yellow – a very popular choice this year!
