wild flowers

IMG_20150929_111624So many florists don’t use foliage anymore. To me, it is the background of an arrangement – just like when you look at wild flowers in nature, they are backed by the green of the fields & trees. To remove it is to make them look less real, & more like a sculpture.

I love the textures in this display – spiky thistles, bobbly alliums, fleshy artichokes…it’s wild & natural.
